A continuous stainless steel bright annealing furnace is a heat treatment system designed to continuously feed stainless steel strips, tubes, or small parts through a sealed, protective atmosphere. Within this environment, the materials undergo continuous heating, soaking, and cooling; upon exiting, they are not only softened and stress-relieved but also possess a mirror-like surface finish—free of scale and requiring no subsequent acid pickling.
Equipment Overview
1. Hot Forging Furnace Body Structure:
The hot forging furnace primarily consists of a feeding platform, a main furnace unit, a conveying mechanism, a discharge device, a cooling water tank, and a control system.
2. Hot Forging Furnace Working Principle:
The conveying mechanism, under the control of the control system, draws the workpieces through the furnace tubes of the main furnace. Once heated to the preset temperature within the tubes, the workpieces are conveyed to the discharge port; the operator then extracts the workpieces using a gripper to complete the hot forging process.
3. The furnace tubes are equipped with a nitrogen protection system to prevent oxidation of the workpieces while they are inside the tubes.

After cold rolling, stainless steel becomes hardened, accumulates significant internal stress, and takes on a dull surface finish. Bright annealing is designed to achieve the following objectives simultaneously:
1. Softening: It reduces hardness and enhances ductility, thereby facilitating subsequent stamping and bending operations.
2. Stress Relief: It eliminates residual stresses induced by cold rolling, effectively preventing cracking and deformation.
3. Bright Surface Finish: By maintaining an oxygen-free environment throughout the entire process, it produces a lustrous, mirror-like surface finish; this eliminates the need for acid pickling—making the process both environmentally friendly and aesthetically superior.
4. Continuous Efficiency: Unlike batch-type box furnaces, this system operates as a continuous production line, making it ideally suited for high-volume manufacturing.
Working Principle
The furnace operates under a protective atmosphere of cracked ammonia gas (75% H₂ + 25% N₂) or high-purity hydrogen, maintaining oxygen content below 10ppm to prevent oxidation. The continuous process consists of: feeding → sealed gas curtain → heating zone (1050–1150°C for recrystallization) → soaking zone (uniform heating) → cooling zone (rapid cooling under protective atmosphere) → discharging. The final product is bright, soft, and dimensionally stable stainless steel.
