What is Annealing Oven?
An annealing oven is a precision industrial thermal processing equipment specially designed for annealing heat treatment, which controls the whole heating, heat preservation and slow cooling cycle of raw materials to adjust material internal microstructure and physical properties.
Core Working Principle
It heats workpieces above the material’s recrystallization temperature, keeps constant temperature for scheduled soaking time to finish atomic diffusion and grain reorganization inside materials, then cools down at a regulated low speed instead of rapid natural cooling. The full annealing procedure includes three phases: stress recovery, grain recrystallization and grain growth.
Main Functions
1.Release residual internal stress generated during forging, rolling, welding and cold machining to avoid workpiece deformation or cracking in subsequent processing.
2.Reduce material hardness and promote ductility, making metals easier for cutting, bending and cold forming.
3.Refine crystalline grain structure, homogenize internal composition and optimize mechanical as well as electrical performance of finished parts.
Common Classification
Divided by production mode into batch-type annealing oven (box, bell, pit type for intermittent small-batch production) and continuous annealing oven (conveyor/roller hearth type for mass automatic assembly-line production); vacuum annealing oven is another mainstream subtype with sealed inner chamber and inert or vacuum atmosphere to prevent workpiece surface oxidation.
