Quenching the heat refers to the core rapid cooling procedure of industrial quenching heat treatment. After heating steel parts to the austenitizing temperature, the high-temperature heat inside the workpiece is quickly taken away through medium cooling, realizing rapid temperature drop and completing metal structural hardening transformation. The principle of quenching the heat is based on rapid thermal exchange and crystal phase transformation. When steel is heated to 800-1200℃, the internal metal structure is converted into uniform austenite. At this high-temperature state, metal grains are active and uniform. Through rapid cooling by water, oil or gas quenching medium, the high-temperature heat is dissipated instantly, preventing the grains from returning to soft ferrite structure.
