What is a continuous annealing line?

A continuous annealing line is a complete automated industrial production system integrating feeding, heating, soaking, cooling and discharging, specially designed for high-volume continuous annealing of steel strips, metal wires, tubular materials and standardized small parts. Different from single independent continuous furnaces, a continuous annealing line is a systematic production solution supporting inline connection with upstream rolling, stamping and slitting equipment and downstream forming and packaging processes, forming a fully closed-loop automated metal processing workshop.

For stainless steel bright annealing lines, high-speed gas quenching is adopted to rapidly pass through the carbide precipitation temperature zone, ensuring soft material texture and excellent corrosion resistance. For carbon steel and alloy steel annealing lines, staged slow cooling is used to prevent internal thermal stress and workpiece cracking. Finally, materials are cooled to safe handling temperature through the final cooling section and automatically discharged for subsequent processing.
