What Are the 4 Types of Brazing? Industrial Brazing Classification Guide

Share:

Industrial brazing technology is classified into four mainstream types according to heating methods and production processes: torch brazing, furnace brazing, induction brazing, and dip brazing. Each brazing type has unique process characteristics and applicable scenarios, helping manufacturers select the most efficient and cost-effective brazing solution according to product structure and production volume.

Torch brazing is the most flexible manual brazing method, using gas flame for local heating. It is suitable for small-batch, multi-specification and large-sized workpieces with irregular structures. It features low equipment investment and flexible operation, but is limited by low efficiency and unstable manual operation quality, suitable for maintenance and small-scale production.

Furnace brazing is the most mainstream industrial brazing method, completed in professional sealed brazing furnaces. With overall uniform heating and atmosphere protection, it realizes oxidation-free, high-precision and high-consistency batch brazing. It is suitable for mass production of small and medium-sized precision components, featuring stable quality, high efficiency and no manual error.

Induction brazing uses high-frequency electromagnetic induction for local rapid heating, with fast heating speed and small thermal deformation. It is widely used for regular-shaped pipe fittings, shaft parts and symmetrical components, realizing rapid fixed-point brazing and ensuring minimal impact on workpiece base material performance.

Dip brazing relies on high-temperature molten salt or metal liquid for overall immersion heating, realizing simultaneous brazing of multiple joints. It has high production efficiency and uniform brazing effect, suitable for batch processing of simple structural parts, but with higher requirements for post-cleaning treatment.

FAQ
