Batch hardening furnaces and continuous hardening furnaces are the two mainstream types of industrial hardening equipment, covering almost all metal hardening processing scenarios. Continuous hardening furnaces adopt fixed intelligent process curves and automatic transmission system. All workpieces pass through the same temperature field and processing cycle, with consistent heating, soaking and cooling parameters. The batch product hardness, dimensional accuracy and mechanical performance are highly unified, with zero batch deviation, which can fully meet the strict quality standards of large-scale standardized production.

 

4. Cost Investment & Operation Maintenance Difference

 

Batch hardening furnaces have low initial equipment investment, simple structure and low failure rate. The maintenance is convenient with low daily maintenance cost, and no need for complex automatic control system debugging. The operation relies on simple manual cooperation, with low technical threshold for workers, suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with limited budget.

 

Continuous hardening furnaces have high upfront investment cost, complex equipment structure including automatic feeding and discharging system, transmission system and multi-zone temperature control system. Daily maintenance requires professional technical personnel, with higher maintenance and operation costs. But it saves a lot of labor costs and improves production capacity in long-term mass production, with higher comprehensive cost performance.

 

Selection Guide: Choose a batch hardening furnace if you have small-batch, multi-variety, customized production demands and limited equipment budget.
