Product Overview
This professional heat treatment furnace is designed for continuous or batch bright annealing of stainless steel wire (grades 304, 316, 201, etc.). A nitrogen-hydrogen protective atmosphere (ammonia decomposition gas) is maintained inside the furnace to keep the wire surface bright, preventing oxidation and blackening after annealing.
Available in three main types:
1.Continuous Tubular Furnace – for high-volume, multi-strand inline wire production
2.Pit/Bell-Type Furnace – for batch annealing of whole wire coils
3.Mesh Belt Annealing Line – for continuous processing of formed or coiled wire
Working Principle
Stainless steel wire passes through a sealed furnace chamber filled with H₂ + N₂ shielding gas.
Heating zone – Wire is heated to 1020–1120℃ (or 800–900℃ for general grades), recrystallizing metal grains and eliminating cold-working stress.
Soaking zone – Constant temperature holding homogenizes the internal structure and improves ductility.
Sealed cooling zone – Wire cools slowly under protective atmosphere, completely isolated from oxygen, resulting in a bright, oxidation-free surface – no pickling required.
For continuous tubular furnace: Wire moves continuously through heating → soaking → cooling sections.
For pit/bell-type furnace: Entire coil is loaded, heated, soaked, and cooled in batch mode.
Main Functions
1.Stress Relief – Removes residual stress from wire drawing, preventing bending and cracking during later use
2.Softening & Ductility Improvement – Reduces hardness, improves formability for weaving, bending, or deep processing
3.Bright Finish – Achieves a metallic bright surface without pickling or post-treatment

Classification of Stainless Steel Wire Annealing Furnaces
1. Pit furnace: for batch production of coiled wire
2. Bell furnace: for bright annealing of high-grade large coils
3. Continuous tube furnace: for high-speed mass production of straight wire
4. Mesh belt furnace: for short-cut stainless steel wire
Used for bright annealing of 201/304/316 stainless steel wire, which serves as raw material for wire mesh, springs, fasteners, medical wire, steel rope and kitchen wire products.
