Box-type tempering furnace is a batch-type industrial electric furnace primarily used for the tempering of alloy steel products and metal components, as well as for heat treatment processes such as solution treatment, annealing, and aging of light alloys like aluminum alloys. This equipment typically employs electric heating in conjunction with a hot air circulation system to ensure uniform furnace temperature, making it an indispensable heat treatment device in the machinery manufacturing, aerospace, and automotive industries.

Main Functions and Applications

The primary function of a box-type tempering furnace is to adjust the internal microstructure of metallic materials by precisely controlling heating temperatures and holding times, thereby improving their mechanical properties.

1. The outer shell of the box-type tempering furnace is made of Q235 steel plate, while the inner lining is formed from 3-mm perforated stainless steel plate. The furnace chamber is removable, allowing for easy removal of the entire unit for maintenance.

2. The temperature control system utilizes Xiamen Yudian instruments, equipped with one main controller and one monitoring unit. It employs a power controller for regulation, while other components are sourced from Chint or Schneider Electric. The system features control functions such as temperature-holding timers and over-temperature alarms. The temperature control system employs dual-point temperature control; during temperature-holding and tempering, the two systems mutually inhibit each other, effectively preventing over-temperature and temperature variations, ensuring more uniform and consistent temperatures throughout the furnace chamber. Equipped with a data logger and four temperature measurement points. The ammeters are digital displays, making readings easy to observe at a glance.

3. The chamber-type tempering furnace features a top-opening door that fits tightly against the furnace body surface to ensure uniform air circulation within the chamber.

4. Equipped with a high-performance forced-air centrifugal exhaust fan to ensure even temperature distribution within the chamber. The fan features an extended shaft, with the impeller and shaft constructed from 304S stainless steel; impeller diameter: 650 mm.

5. The heating elements consist of spiral-shaped heating wires arranged in layers, allowing for easy disassembly and convenient daily maintenance. The heating wires are distributed across the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the furnace body as well as near the furnace door, ensuring uniform temperature distribution throughout the chamber.
