Box-type Car Bottom Furnace Movable Car Hearth Furnace for Large Workpiece Processing

This car bottom furnace is a batch heat treatment furnace equipped with a movable car hearth that travels on rails between the loading area and furnace chamber. The movable hearth allows large and heavy workpieces to be loaded outside the furnace, providing convenient access for cranes and other material-handling equipment.

The furnace can be configured for annealing, tempering, normalizing, stress relieving and other heat treatment processes according to the workpiece and production requirements. It is suitable for large machinery components, steel structures, forgings and other heavy or bulky workpieces. Furnace chamber size, car hearth dimensions, loading capacity, heating configuration and control system can be customized for different applications.

Movable Car Hearth
The furnace uses a movable hearth mounted on a rail-guided car. The complete loading platform can travel between the external loading position and the furnace chamber, allowing large workpieces to be handled without placing lifting equipment inside the furnace.

External Loading & Unloading
When the car hearth is outside the furnace, large or heavy workpieces can be positioned using an overhead crane or other suitable handling equipment. After loading, the car travels along the rails into the furnace chamber for heat treatment.

Furnace Chamber & Sealing
After the car enters the chamber, the furnace door closes and the hearth interfaces with the furnace body to form the heating space. The sealing arrangement is designed to reduce unnecessary heat loss around the door and movable hearth areas.

Heating & Temperature Control
Heating zones can be arranged according to the chamber dimensions and workpiece configuration. PLC and PID controls can be configured for programmable heating, soaking and cooling stages according to the required process.

Customized Car Bottom Design
The car hearth dimensions, rail arrangement, chamber size, loading capacity and heating configuration can be customized according to the customer's workpiece dimensions, workshop layout and material-handling requirements.
